At the end of a long day, there is nothing better than to sink into a comfy bed. At The Royal we want you to find a home from home. We have fourteen rooms, which have all been lovingly decorated to a high standard.

All our bedrooms are en-suite and boast free wi-fi, flatscreen TVs, tea and coffee making facilities. Our luxury beds are designed for comfort, come along and try them for yourself.

Parking

We have one parking space available to guests at the discretion of the hotel management. This space costs £5 per night and is available in line with our check-in and check-out times. To check availability of the space you will need to contact the hotel directly, please do not use third party sites to communicate with us about parking. The space can only be booked and confirmed with us directly.

As we are not able to offer parking for all our guests we do advise that you plan your visit around using Lancaster’s public car parks. Lucy Street pay and display is just behind the hotel and the Auction Market is roughly a minute walk away. Both will charge approximately £10 for 24 hours.

ACCESSIBILTY

Please note The Royal is a listed building therefore we do not have a lift, however our staff are always on hand to help you with any bags. We have one accessible double room on the ground floor available on request. If you would prefer a ground or first floor room, please do not hesitate to let us know at time of booking and we will try our very best to meet your requirements.

Checking In/Out

You can check-in between 3 pm – 9 pm every day. If you are planning to arrive later than 9 pm, please contact us for the possibility of arranging a late/self check in. Check out is before 11 am on the day of your departure.

location

The Royal is in the heart of Lancaster city and a stones throw from all the shops, bars and restaurants. We also have our own busy bar and beautiful beer garden that provide a vibrant atmosphere, particularly on weekends, however we are not a late night venue and close at 11pm. We do everything we can to ensure our guests are not disturbed during their stay, but ask that if daytime/evening noise is a concern for you or if you are travelling with young children, that you speak to us first before booking.

Please note – we are a hotel & bar only and do not serve food. You can however, order Neapolitan wood fired pizza to your table from the fabulous Aquilla Pizzeria
